Dr Charanjeet Kaur retired as In-Charge Principal and Head of Department of English at Smt CHM College., Ulhasnagar after a 40 year old stint as Faculty and in various administrative capacities. She has been instrumental in setting up the UGC sponsored Gandhian Studies Centre and Women's Studies Centre at the College and was the Director of the WSC for a tenure of two years.

Presently she is working on translating Punjabi texts into English and writing research based articles on Punjabi literature.
